Petitie catre Adunarea Parlamentara a Consiliului Europei / Petition to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

Avand
in vedere ca Adunarea Parlamentara a Consiliului Europei urmeaza in
curand sa supuna la vot o rezolutie prin care se solicita legalizarea
casatoriilor homosexuale in toate cele 47 de state membre ale
Consiliului Europei;
Avand in vedere ca Adunarea a solicitat, de asemenea, modificarea
Conventiei Europene a Drepturilor Omului, pentru declararea casatoriei
homosexuale ca drept al omului;
Avand in vedere ca Adunarea a dezbatut recent un amendament la
Conventia Europeana privind Adoptia Copiilor, pentru a permite adoptia
copiilor de catre cuplurile de homosexuali,
Noi, subsemnatii cetateni ai Romaniei, prieteni ai Romaniei si ai
cetatenilor Europei, semnam aceasta Petitie exprimandu-ne opozitia
ferma fata de propunerea legislativa a Adunarii. Solicitam Adunarii sa
opreasca imediat orice incercare de legalizare sau de impunere a
casatoriilor sau parteneriatelor homosexuale asupra statelor membre.
Actiunea anticipata a Adunarii este contrara valorilor noastre, este
gresit intemeiata si afecteaza familia, copiii si binele general al
statelor membre.

Considering that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is
scheduled to soon vote on a resolution calling for the legalization of
same-sex marriage in all 47 state members of the Council of Europe;
Considering also, that the Assembly has called for amending the
European Convention on Human Rights to declare same-sex marriage a
human right;
Considering further that the Assembly recently debated an amendment to
the European Convention on the Adoption of Children to allow the
adoption of children by homosexual couples;
We, therefore, the undersigned citizens of Romania, friends of Romania
and of the people of Europe, hereby sign this Petition expressing our
strong opposition to the Assembly's proposed course of action. We call
on the Assembly to immediately cease all attempts to legalize or impose
same-sex marriage or same-sex partnerships on member states. The
Assembly's anticipated action is incongruent with our values,
ill-founded, and detrimental to family, children and to the general
welfare of the member states.
